Michael Noble - Notable and The Nash
Voted Calgary’s Best Chef, Michael Noble is one of Calgary’s most well-known chefs and the proprietor of two of Calgary’s top restaurants. Noble’s decorated career has spanned more than three decades across Canada and Europe, including six years as executive chef at Vancouver’s Diva at the Met, an appearance on the Iron Chef, and clinching the top spot on the inaugural enRoute Magazine Canada’s Best New Restaurants list at Catch in 2000.
In 2010, Noble opened NOtaBLE, bucking the downtown trend in favour of bringing upscale comfort food to the suburban northwest. In 2014, he followed up the success of NOtaBLE by opening The Nash and Off Cut Bar, set in Inglewood’s historic National Hotel. The Nash has become well known for its inventive, but approachable dishes and carefully crafted cocktails.
